Sausalito Dog Park
The Sausalito Dog Park is a joint effort between the Sausalito Parks and Recreation Dept. and the Friends of the Sausalito Dog Park non-profit group. It was founded to give local dogs a place to play and exercise off-leash. It’s also called Remington Dog Park in some places in honor of the founder’s Lab, Remington.
The park dates back to 1999, and has prospered for over a decade thanks to lots of volunteer hours and cash donations by City residents and neighbors who use the park. The City of Sausalito pays only for the park’s water, electricity and trash service. All of the facility’s improvements and repairs come from the volunteers.
