Sausalito Halloween Parade and Trick-or-Treating
Robin Sweeny Park and Caledonia St., Sausalito CA 94965 (See Map Below)
Each year on October 31 the Sausalito Parks and Recreation Dept. organizes a Sausalito Halloween Parade with safe trick or treats in the Caledonia St. neighborhood of Sausalito. The Parade starts at 6:00 PM sharp at the Station 1 Firehouse (corner of Johnson & Caledonia streets) and finishes at Robin Sweeny Park weather permitting) — costumed participants line up at 5:45.
The parade this year is just the start of the spooky joy, since revelers can then proceed to “Trick or Treat Lane,” AKA the Robin Sweeny Park Basketball Court area on Caledonia St. starting at 6:15 PM.
New for this year is the Pumpkin Art Contest, and to enter you’ll want to do your carving before Halloween… just not too long before the big day so your artistic masterpiece is still art and not artbage (a word I just made up). Artists (and would-be artists) can drop off carved pumpkins at Robin Sweeny Park from 5:00 to 5:30 PM on October 31. The votes will be attlied and the inner announced at 7:30 PM.
The festivities also include the dog Howl’O’Ween costume contest, held at 6:30 PM at Robin Sweeny Park.
