-
At the metered spaces on Bridgeway, or
-
In the city lot at the corner of Locust and Bridgeway (which is about 3 blocks away).
After a hiatus of ten years (could it possibly be that long?), the Sausalito Farmers Market is making a triumphant return to Dunphy Park in response to ongoing requests from local residents. Sausalito Mayor Ian Sobieski MCed the grand opening of the second (or third) incarnation of the event on June 2, 2024. This Farmers Market may boast some of the best Bay views of any event in the Bay Area.
Organized by the same folks who coordinate the Sunday Farmers Market at The Marin Country Mart shopping center in Larkspur (across Sir Francis Drake Blvd. from the Larkspur Ferry terminal), the market is a collaboration with fifty local vendors offering fresh produce, organic foods, baked goods, and more.
Featured areas include wine tastings, a craft beer garden, local honey and a variety of cooking demos.
The gazebo area, shoreline access, Sausalito Cruising Club access, volleyball court, bathrooms, and bocce courts remain open and available on a normal basis (subject to reservations made with the city) during the Farmers Market events.
Since this was a grass roots effort driven by demand for Sausalito to have its own Farmers Market, the city provides the space and key services, including post-event clean-up, the Dunphy Park bathrooms, police, and security. The market contributes 30% of its gross income to the city.
