Sausalito Restaurants on TV (Food Network and other channels)
We built this list when we realized several local different places had been on Food Network shows. Listed in alphabetical order, they are:
Buckeye Roadhouse — The long-time local favorite at the northern entryway to Sausalito has been seen on The Best Thing I Ever Ate, where Tyler Florence of Mill Valley fattened up on its Smore Pie.
Copita — Chef-Owner Joanne Weir has her own Joanne Weir’s Cooking Class show on PBS.
Fish — The casual all-sustainable seafood restaurant is the only one to score on two different shows. Fish has been seen on The Best Thing I Ever Ate, where local chef Tyler Florence praised its crab roll, and on Rachael’s Vacation with Rachael Ray.
Poggio Trattoria — This award-winning Italian restaurant appeared on Rachael’s Vacation with Rachael Ray.
Sushi Ran — The reginal sushi leader on Rachael’s Vacation with Rachael Ray.
Trivia Bonus: Sausalito resident Mourad Lahlou, chef at Aziza in San Francisco, challenged Cat Cora on Iron Chef America in 2009.
Double Trivia Bonus: The set of Giada at Home has Edward Wohl ceramics used as decorations that came from Heath Ceramics in Sausalito.
