Fast Food Francais (“F3”)
Fast Food Francais, which has fostered the local nickname “F3”, opened in mid-February, 2013. The owners were part of the team behind the highly successful Le Garage here in Sausalito (and L’Appart in San Anselmo), and I think they deserve some kind of medal (with oak clusters for Common Sense) for meritorious service to local diners.
I love the concept here: traditional American comfort food with French-California flavors and sauces, with an emphasis on local ingredients and keeping things light. This is a favorite meeting spot for us, and the service is always warm and friendly. They rotate the menu to focus on what’s in season and to keep things fresh.
Something else that people should know about Fast Food Francais? Glad we don’t have a place in town called Paltry Plates Provencal or Slow Service de Sedan? Disagree with any of our suggestions? Please let us know!
