Pick Me Up Chocolate Sausalito
We are sad to report that Pick Me Up Chocolate in Sausalito has closed, although the consolation is that its place has been taken by the new COA Chocolate & Gelato.
Pick Me Up Chocolate is a recent arrival in Sausalito, and sits in a prime location on Bridgeway one block from the Ferry Pier and almost directly across the street from one of the famous elephants in Viña del Mar Park. They offer hand-made chocolates, artisan pastries and coffee as well as a friendly welcome.
This is a unique spot in Sausalito because we have many coffee shops and an excellent bakery, but none of them serve hand-made chocolates. They also did an especially nice job of preserving the historic feel of the old building while creating a bright and sunny spot.

Pick Me Up Chocolates’ gift boxes are wrapped to be as beautiful as the chocolates, which makes me jealous because I’m one of those people who can take colorful ribbon and beautiful paper or boxes, and then assemble them in a way that makes 5th graders look away in embarrassment when they see my awkward handiwork.
Insiders Tip: If the afternoon breeze gets cold and you’re tired of the usual fare at Starbucks, Pick Me Up Chocolate is just a few storefronts up the street on Bridgeway from Starbucks’ spot on Princess St., and you can get both good coffee to warm you up and unique treats to mellow you out.
If it’s a warm summer day you can start here with some chocolate treats, go just a few steps down the street to the original Lappert’s Ice Cream shop to get a cone or cup of frozen joy, and then proceed to a bench along the edge of the Bay to combine the consumption of the chocolate and ice cream in your favorite possible way!
