Sausalito Bakery and Cafe
The Sausalito Bakery and Cafe is located in the heart of the downtown area in Sausalito, with a fabulous view of the Bay out the windows. Now, if only we could persuade the UPS guy and his big truck to stop parking in front of this place several times each day! In the morning they feature a selection of breakfast items, mixing bagels, rolls, eggs, cheese and bacon. For lunch they serve a variety of salads and sandwiches.
They have some charming little cubbyholes with small tables in them where you can enjoy your meal inside — I can see a director filming a falling-in-love scene for a movie here with the couple hidden away in a corner! There are also a couple of small fabulous-view tables out front on the sidewalk.
Sweet Tooth Alert: Compared to many bakeries, Sausalito Bakery and Cafe does not load up the sugar content in their baked goods. Those seeking less sugary treats should make a point of trying them out.
