Sausalito is in Zone 2 on the Golden Gate Transit zone and fare map, which also lists current fares to different destinations; scroll down for prices for youth, seniors, disabled passengers etc. Within Marin the bus fare as of January 1, 2024 is $2.00 for Adults, $1.80 if you use a Clipper Card. Between Sausalito and San Francisco it’s $8.25 for adults, $6.60 with a Clipper card (more if you start from north of Sausalito), and the fare map shows the various rates for Sonoma County, for different starting points in Marin, and for the links to Richmond and El Cerrito. Fares to San Francisco often go up on July 1 of each year.
Sausalito bus fares for Marin Transit are currently $2.00 for adults ($1.80 with Clipper), and $1.00 for ages 5-18, for seniors (65+) and disabled riders. If you travel solely within Marin you can also get a 1-day, 7-day or 31-day pass. Youths can also get a special annual pass through their school.

Sausalito bus fares for kids under 5: They ride for free so long as they are with a paying adult, with a max of two kids per adult.
