The Tiburon Ferry Pier in Tiburon
Like the Sausalito Ferry Pier, the ferry pier in Tiburon is used for sailings to San Francisco by both Golden Gate Ferry (for weekday commuter and visitor service) to The Ferry Building and by Blue and Gold Fleet (for weekend service) to Pier 39 / Pier 41 at Fisherman’s Wharf.
Direct ferry service from Tiburon to Angel Island is not available from this pier. It’s offered by the Angel Island Ferry Company, which has a separate Angel Island Ferry dock just to the right of the Tiburon Ferry dock.
You can also take a Blue and Gold Fleet ferry from the Tiburon Ferry dock to Pier 39 / 41 at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, and from there you can take a Blue and Gold Fleet ferry to Angel Island. But you can’t “mix tickets” and combine one sailing from each service since all tickets are for round trips.
Insiders Tip: When you drive up to the intersection of Tiburon Blvd. and Main St. in Tiburon (see may below) you can’t see the pier, since it’s hidden behind Guaymas Restaurant. Once you park at a ferry parking lot in Tiburon and walk down the passageway on the left (north) side of Guaymas you’ll see the gangway to the ferries behind the building. Other gaps between buildings on that side of Main St. also lead to the boardwalk next to the two piers.
