Sausalito Police to Run DUI Checkpoint Aug. 28

Sausalito Police will be running a DUI Checkpoint on Friday, August 28 from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM on Bridgeway in Sausalito. This effort is being implemented in coordination with the county-wide DUI State grant program, and the city is reimbursed for overtime and equipment expenses by the State of California.

If you enjoy a few drinks at this summer's final Jazz and Blues by the Bay, please have a designated driver or take a cab home.

We've heard a story that there will be a checkpoint on Saturday August 29 as well, but since we have not confirmed it please consider that to be a rumor. Our source for the Friday checkpoint is the Sausalito PD, so that one's official.
