Free Microsoft Word Classes at Sausalito Library Sept. 2 - Nov. 4
If you have family members who want to learn about computers but haven't known where to start, this is a great program that will get them started on the most common word processing software. Lessons learned on Microsoft Word can be readily applied to almost any kind of computer program, including writing email.
The Sausalito Library offers free computer classes each month, and it's a great way to learn to use a computer. People who may have not had the chance to take these kinds of classes can get up to speed quite quickly on the basics, and seniors are encouraged to participate. Classes are offered at various levels.
Over the next few weeks a three part class in Microsoft Word is being offered. Space is limited and you do need to call the library to reserve a spot — the number is 415-289-4121.
Sessions are held from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM in the Edgewater Seniors Room at City Hall, 420 Litho St. in Sausalito (see map below). Session dates are all on Wednesdays: September 2, October 7 and November 4.
Prerequisites: Students should be comfortable working on a computer and navigating with a mouse or touchpad. Once you get the hang of it, Word is very easy to use and extremely handy.
This is a great program and we think the Sausalito Library should be applauded for offering these free classes.
