Coast Guard Rescues 3 from Overturned Boat Near Sausalito

Sept. 4 — If you heard the helicopter this morning, it was responding to a distress call from a boat that had taken on water from waves washing over the stern and capsized off Point Bonita.

The Coast Guard sent a rescue boat from Sausalito and a helicopter, and found two men and a woman clinging to the hull of the capsized boat. They were all rescued by the Coast Guard boat and it appears everyone is fine.
