If you’ve read our complete Sausalito Art Festival Guide you know that there are two ways to reach the Sausalito Art Festival, both convenient:
1. Buy a combined Festival – Ferry ticket, and take a ferry from Pier 41 at Fisherman’s Wharf directly to the Festival grounds, where there’s a pier located conveniently right next to the event. We have links for buying tickets here.
If you take this first choice the ferry schedule has fewer voyages, but is hyper-convenient. Here’s the schedule for 2012:

2. Take a regular Sausalito Ferry from the Ferry Building or Fisherman’s Wharf to Sausalito, where a free air conditioned will sweep you from the downtown pier to the Festival grounds. The bus will also return you to the Ferry Pier after you leave the gates. The Blue and Gold Fleet is running their standard weekend and holiday schedule, but Golden Gate Ferry has expanded their offerings. Here’s their schedule for the weekend, and the modified schedule for Monday:

Golden Gate Transit recommends that riders buy round trip tickets at the Ferry Building before departing since there are fewer machines at the Sausalito pier.
