We are sorry to report that Philz Sausalito is closing on October 21, 2016 due to problems with its lease and signage limitations. They are looking to re-open in Marin but it’s unclear if the location will be in Sausalito.
Neighborhood: Caledonia St. (New Town). Website is here. Open from 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM – 8:00 PM Weekends.

Insiders Tip: Having trouble finding Philz in Sausalito? Stand at the corner of Johnson St. and Bridgeway. Now look at the fire station (in the direction of the hills). Now look just to the left of the fire station. You’ll see the building shown in the photo above, which is Philz Coffee Sausalito.

Philz Coffee Sausalito
How cool is Philz Coffee? So cool that they don’t need a sign on the front of the building. So cool that Zagat named it one of the ten coolest Indie Coffee places in the San Francisco Bay Area. So cool that they were selected as the on-campus inside-the-barricades coffee shop for Facebook’s corporate headquarters. So cool that after the Sausalito City Council rejected the application of Peet’s Coffee to open a shop here (on the site now occupied by Bar Bocce) because Peet’s was too corporate and a big chain, they approved Philz Coffee because they are a small chain and, well, they’re cool. They opened at the beginning of August, 2012 in the long-vacant spot next door to the new Fire Station, a storefront previously occupied by the Cork Enoteca wine bar and shop. By Winter of 2013 they had two OurSausalito.com dining survey trophies on this page, which we think is their coolest accolade of all!
