FREE SAUSALITO FERRY & BUS RIDES JULY 3-5, 2021!
Golden Gate Transit is offering FREE weekend ferry service for the July 3 – July 4 – July 5 holiday weekend with the full pre-pandemic schedule. Since our current level of service is to have no service at all on weekends and only two sailings in each direction on weekdays, this is a huge increase in service as well as a free fare sale. Our hope is that this may signal the imminent return of more daily ferry service between the Ferry Building in San Francisco and the ferry pier here in Sausalito.
Blue and Gold Fleet ferries from Fisherman’s Wharf to Sausalito were already running more frequently on weekends and on weekdays. They are run by a private company and are not participating in the free fare program.
