Sausalito Equator Coffee
In the summer of 2019 the Italian deli and pastry shop Cibo was sold, and it became the Sausalito outpost of Equator Coffee, a small San Francisco and Marin chain. The great twist to the story: Tera Ancona, the pastry chef who created Cibo’s fabulous treats, still makes the treats for Equator… and instead of just being in Sausalito they’re in all of Equator’s outlets. (Yes, I love great Italian pastries!)
Equator’s outdoor seating area on Bridgeway is a great place to soak up the sun on a nice day.
Insiders Tip: If you crave fresh fruit pies, Equator collaborates with A Slice of Sausalito, the little pie business inside KARL The Store, which is next door to Equator.
Too much information: their indoor seating area was a garden statuary and fountain store about 15 years ago, and it’s where we bought the happily-babbling fountain in our back yard. For some reason no brass plaque celebrating our momentous purchase has yet been added to the building.
