Pelican Inn Restaurant, Muir Beach

Located in the small Pelican Inn Hotel northwest of Sausalito in Muir Beach, the Pelican Inn wins the award for “the most distant restaurant from Sausalito City Hall covered in OurSausalito.com.” Although Muir Beach gets its mail from Sausalito and has no post office of its own (Sausalito and Muir Beach share the 94965 zip code, the criterion for inclusion in our site), it’s about 9 twisty-turny miles of driving over the same ridge that guards Muir Woods to come here from Sausalito, and takes about 30 minutes from City Hall in light traffic.
The trip, however, is most worthwhile. It gets you the chance to try English food at the only English restaurant in southern Marin, with a mix of pub food and higher end entrees.
