Time: Shuttles start running from San Francisco at 6:30 AM. Wave 1 launches at 7:30 AM
Place: Route starts on East Road in Fort Baker in Sausalito and ends in Aquatic Park in San Francisco (see map below).
This race has gone by several names and had several different sponsors over the years, but it started as the “Houlihan’s to Houlihan’s 12K” race that ran between the two Houlihan’s restaurants in San Francisco and Sausalito from 1984 through 2002.
Both restaurants have now closed (though a Houlihan’s near SFO remains open and it’s a national chain). The location of the old Houlihan’s in Sausalito was extensively remodeled and is now Barrel House.
