It’s Day 2 of the 2024 Sausalito Ferry service suspension. Here’s what we know:
Golden Gate Ferry to the Ferry Building
The Golden Gate Ferry has shared the following with us: “All Golden Gate Ferry service April 20-21 between San Francisco and Sausalito will be provided via Golden Gate Transit buses. Passengers should look for buses at the front of the terminal.”
We can infer from this that the bus bridge will be replacing service all weekend on April 20-21, but they’re not yet making any comment on Monday, April 22.
The Sausalito “terminal” pier is in downtown Sausalito, near the corner of El Portal and Bridgeway. We don’t yet know exactly where the buses will be waiting, but they’re likely to be within a block of the pier. (See map below.) Historically signage and staff have been present to get riders to the right spot.
The San Francisco terminal is at the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero at the foot of Market Street. Buses wait in front of the Ferry Building.
Blue and Gold Ferry to the Pier 41
Their website message is unchanged: “Until further notice all Ferry Service To and From Sausalito will be cancelled due to a Sausalito terminal issue.”
There is no bus service replacing these sailings.
