SERVICE ALERT APRIL 19, 2024 3:44 PM — ALL SAUSALITO FERRY SERVICE SUSPENDED: On April 19, 2024, Golden Gate Ferry shared with us, “Ferry service from San Francisco to Sausalito will be provided via bus for the remainder of the day, due to structural compromise at the pier. Until further notice, all service between San Francisco and Sausalito on Golden Gate Ferry is SUSPENDED. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
Bus service will link the Ferry Building to the Sausalito Ferry landing, and run on the same schedule as was published for the ferries. Service to other Golden Gate Ferry destinations other than Sausalito is not affected. The extra bus service will continue until the ferry sailings are resumed.
Update 3:50 PM: Blue and Gold Sausalito Ferry sailings to Pier 41 at Fisherman’s Wharf have published this update on their website: “Until further notice all Ferry Service To and From Sausalito will be cancelled due to a Sausalito terminal issue.” There is no bus service from Pier 41 to Sausalito to replace these sailings, since Blue & Gold is a private company and Golden Gate Ferry is a public transit provider that provides bus and ferry services. Service to other Blue & Gold destinations other than Sausalito is not affected.
Update 3:51 PM: Golden Gate just sent us an update where they dropped the sentence that said “Until further notice, all service between San Francisco and Sausalito on Golden Gate Ferry is SUSPENDED,” but made no explicit comment about service tomorrow so the situation is unclear. Be sure to check the Golden Gate Ferry website before planning any San Francisco travel from Sausalito.
