The Golden Gate Bridge District has announced more lane and bus stop closures for tonight (Tuesday, August 15, 2017) as part of their ongoing repaving project.
The details:
- The roadwork will take place from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM
- There will be just one open southbound lane on the Bridge, and all southbound vehicles will have to pass through the toll booth at the far east side (the left side when you’re driving southbound) of the toll plaza.
- The bus stop for southbound buses at the Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza will also be closed, and the closest bus stop in San Francisco is at Richardson Avenue at Francisco Street. This isn’t necessarily a problem if you’re connecting to Muni since both are major bus stops, but if you’re walking somewhere from there it’s two miles from the toll plaza, not a hike you’d want to take on at 2:00 in the morning.
