There will be no Golden Gate Ferry service between Sausalito and the Ferry Building in San Francisco on the morning of April 14, 2017. Sailings are suspended due to emergency repairs to the gangway at the Sausalito Ferry pier. Golden Gate Ferry sailings from Sausalito to the Ferry Building will start up at 1:55 PM on Friday.
Here are your options (apart from driving) for working around the problem:
.
Take the Blue and Gold Fleet Sausalito Ferry to Pier 39/41 near Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, then use Muni or a rideshare to get to your destination. Here’s our schedules page.
Take a Golden Gate Transit Bus from Sausalito to San Francisco. They have added emergency bus service at 7:10 AM and 8:20 AM from the Bay St. & Bridgeway bus stop next to the “Ice House” Sausalito History & Visitor Center. The rest of the Golden Gate Transit bus schedule will operate normally.
Take a Golden Gate Ferry from Tiburon to the Ferry Building. We have the schedules here.
Take a Golden Gate Ferry from Larkspur to the Ferry Building. We have the schedules here.
.
Take a rideshare to San Francisco. On off-peak hours downtown Sausalito to the Ferry Building on my Uber rides has been about $33, and I’d add about $10 for busy times.
Take a deep breath and work from home. Depending on your boss, your results may vary!
Be careful out there, my friends!
