A water main burst last night on Gate Five Road near Coloma St. (in front of a building where we once had an office), opening a sinkhole and flooding nearby businesses. It took hours for MMWD to turn off the main and it is not expected to be repaired until Friday.
In the meantime, if you’re going anywhere on Gate Five Road on the part of the road that parallels Bridgeway, it will be easier if you use Harbor Dr. or Coloma St. to turn east from Bridgeway.
The IJ has a page with a video of the damage and cleanup here.
