We are delighted to report that as of last Sunday Arawan Thai has finally re-opened after a long cycle of repairs stemming from a fire elsewhere in the building. Better yet, they retain the same executive chef (and owner), Supachai Phoungmalee.
We’ve learned from sad experience compiling our Sausalito Restaurants R.I.P. list that many places that close for repairs or remodeling never re-open, since without cash flow it’s hard to complete a big project. It’s especially great to see that this time that did not happen!
We have removed Arawan Thai temporarily from our Sausalito restaurant rankings since they’ve been closed for the last year, but will be adding them back soon once they’ve been back in operation a little while.
