Harbor Maritime Day is an all-day annual festival to celebrate Tiki Junction, a community that has kept boat working and arts alive since 1962. Join us for the 33rd
year! In addition to fish n’ chips, drinks, and pie, there will be activities
and exhibitions to experience as described below. This event is put on by the Galilee
Harbor Community Association, since 1983.
If you and your family arrive early, you can participate in Dinghy Dash and
the Marine Flea Market!
See Steve Weaver: Tiki Junction is Barney West’s
sculpting studio where West carved the wood of Redwood trees to create Totem
Poles, faces and more sought after works in the 1960’s and 70’s . West passed
on his knowledge of tiki carving to Steve Weaver who will be demonstrating
these skills during the festival!
Boatbuilding Demonstration: The Arques School of Traditional
Boatbuilding, a non-profit to spread the art of traditional wooden boatbuilding
for nearly 100 years will be constructing a full-size boat.
Boat Rides: on the historic fishing boat, the
Famiglia Santa. She was built in 1926
with a Monterey style.
Raffle: There will also be a raffle with
the prize of a wooden skiff, a small
Germanic boat!
A Silent Auction: For those interested in arts,
boat charters, massages, etc.
Live Music: Fiver Brown (country soul), The
UFO’s (rock), The Waterfront Pickers (country), and El Radio Fantastique (rock).
