We've done another major update and expansion of our list of Sausalito's restaurants that have closed or been renamed. This page started out as a list of more recent changes here, but with editors who have lived here for decades and some whose families have been around here for over a century…. well the list has continued to grow. It's now the most comprehensive chronicle of Sausalito's dining history available anywhere.
We also stretch the subject matter a bit to include things like the old Village Fair and the Ark ferry boat.
Are you a fan of Sausalito history? Check out the Sausalito Historical Society. They are not stuffy professor types, but a fun group who are working to preserve Sausalito's often wild and rambunctious history. The events we've attended have been a lot of fun.
