Work began in earnest today (August 23) on the grounds of the Sausalito Art Festival at Marinship Park. The mini-tents for the booths are being erected on the soccer field and tennis courts, and workers were carefully cleaning and preparing the letters for the sign that spans the entry gates. We just happened to catch the moment when they had placed the O in Sausalito on the ground for a second and were able to get this shot.
The first volunteer orientations were held tonight in preparation for the annual event, which runs over labor day weekend. Last we heard volunteer positions were still available, and they come with a free ticket to one day of the Festival as well as a volunteer after-party.
