After being held back by two years of recession, the last half of 2010 and the first half of 2011 have seen a burst of new restaurant openings. We've just released our Summer, 2011 survey results for The Best Restaurants in Sausalito, and the dinner list boasts no less than six places appearing on the Top 30 for the first time:
Rossetti Pizzeria (#10)
Aurora (Tied for #15)
Plate Shop (Tied for #18)
Bar Bocce (Tied for #25)
La Hacienda Mexican Grill (#27)
Harbor View Grill (#28)
La Hacienda's sister restaurant, Taste of the Himalayas, had already appeared on a prior list, and this quarter rose to a tie for the #12 position.
This period has also seen some restaurant closures, including Amy's Cafe, Cacciucco and the beautifully remodeled Il Piccolo Teatro.
