Sausalito City Hall Looking for Volunteers to Scan Documents
The City of Sausalito is looking for volunteers to help the City start the daunting process of digitizing City records. The volunteers will help with key parts of the project, including scans of important documents like reports, meeting notes, resolutions and ordinances.
This project will allow Sausalito residents to instantly access these documents through the City's website, or through information kiosks in City Hall. This is an important part of open and transparent government, not just a matter of more efficient record keeping.
Sausalito staff are looking for anyone who is interested in giving an hour or two a week and can commit for a period of time. Anyone can do the job, which just involves feeding the documents into a copier.
If you are interested, please contact David Weatherford at City Hall. However, if you have specific questions about the tasks involved, feel free to contact Debbie Pagliaro or call 289-4165.
