Sausalito Art Traditions Photo Exhibit Opened March 1

Exhibit: “Artistic Sausalito: An Historical Exhibit”

Date: Opening Event Monday, March 1, 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Exhibition continues on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Place: Sausalito Historical Society Room, 3rd Floor, Sausalito City Hall, 420 Litho St., Sausalito CA 94965

A past exhibit from the Sausalito Historical Society was “Artistic Sausalito: An Historical Exhibit.”

The exhibit chronicled the original works of Sausalito artists from the 1940s and ’50s who gave our town its reputation as a contemporary center of bohemian activity. Artists featured in the exhibit includes Enid Foster, Peggy Tolk-Watkins, Jean Varda, Walter Kuhlman, Ruth Alexander, Val Bleeker, Ed and Loyola Fourtane, Nan Fowler and Ted Christensen.

The opening reception was be hosted by the Sausalito Historical Society on Monday, March 1, 2010.
