Acclaimed Jazz Artist Lavay Smith to Headline Caffe DiVino Fri. Oct. 30

Lavay Smith has been called a lot of things in her jazz career… most of them highly complimentary. Although she's based here in the Bay Area with her band The Red Hot Skillet Lickers, she has toured internationally interpreting and preserving classic jazz vocals of the 1940's and 50's. Her last album scored a 4.5 out of 5 from Downbeat Magazine, and placed in the Top 10 Billboard Jazz Charts.

Fresh from a gig at Yoshi's in San Francisco, Smith will be featuring pieces from her new album, Miss Smith to You in her performance Friday night at Caffe DiVino. This is a rare chance to hear an internationally recognized jazz artist in an intimate local Sausalito setting.
