Katie Kurtz looks at the connections between the concept of "green" and art through a practice she named “visual eco-criticism,” studying how visual culture impacts the environmental movement, and the affects of the green movement on visual art. She has focused on the work of photographer Barry Underwood (see video below), German installation artist Christel Dillbohner, and multidisciplinary San Francisco artist Christine Lee, and they will join her in this discussion of visual eco-criticism.
