Sausalito's Sushi Ran Chef Hyun Minh Suh Wins California SushiMaster Competition

Sushi Ran chef Hyun Minh Suh has brought two gold medals back to Sausalito, winning the 2009 California SushiMasters regional competition in San Diego on June 25. He took Best of Show honors and won the medals for his Signature Roll and his Morikomi plate.

He'll compete in the SushiMasters national competition in Los Angeles on September 20.

The California event was part of the 2009 Beer and Sake Festival, a charity function for the Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana. The California Rice Commission sponsors the event.
