OurSausalito.com Opens Summer Intern Position
OurSausalito.com is looking for a summer Editorial Intern to support the continued rollout of the largest and most comprehensive online guide to Sausalto. The Intern can mix telecommuting from home with work time at our Sausalito office. Hours are negotiable and flexible.
We view this as a position where we have an obligation to teach and train the Intern, and our Editorial Director has over 20 years of online experience as well as major awards. We're a pre-funding start-up so this is an unpaid internship, but we will jump through all the required hoops (and do all the paperwork) for the Intern's school as our part of the Intern earning academic credit for their work.
The Editorial Intern will help update pages, screen and post Sausalito events for our calendar, be part of the interface between ourselves and contributing artists and writers, and support other site activities. Other duties may be added to take advantage of the Intern's personal strengths (e.g. graphic design, tech skills) or the academic requirements of their school's internship program.
Although we prefer an Intern working for credit from an academic program, we will consider high quality applicants regardless of their academic affiliation. Talented high school juniors and seniors may also apply.
The successful applicant will be a creative self-starter and independent thinker who works well as part of a team. Experience in any aspect of online production or development is a major plus, as are training or experience in Journalism.
