No Name Bar Celebrates its 50th Birthday with Jam Session July 1

Place: No Name Bar, 757 Bridgeway, Sausalito
The No Name Bar has been a Sausalito institution for decades, hosting both the notable and the incorrigibles who’ve passed through town. As one of our editors commented, “the No Name was a dive bar before dive bars were cool.” A few of the famous names who’ve inhabited the place are Richard Brautigan, Lenny Bruce, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Allen Ginsberg, Sterling Hayden, Jack Kerouac, Charles Mingus and Jonathan Winters.
As part of celebrating their 50th birthday, the No Name’s owners are inviting back all the musicians who have played there over the years for a jam session starting at 6:00 PM on July 1. It should be a very interesting evening!
