Blue & Gold Adds Late Afternoon Sausalito Ferry

In the current economic climate we’re all looking for good news, and some is coming our way via the Sausalito Ferry.

The Blue and Gold Fleet has added a late afternoon run to their Sausalito – San Francisco ferry schedule. This schedule change is normal during the summer months, but instead of waiting until May to add the service Blue & Gold inaugurated the extra run in March this year.

This response to passenger demand provides a positive omen for Sausalito businesses that depend on summer visitors from San Francisco to “make their numbers” for the year.

The new round-trip leaves Pier 41 in San Francisco at 5:15 PM, arriving in Sausalito at 5:40 PM. The last Blue & Gold Fleet weekend ferry back to Fisherman’s Wharf now departs Sausalito at 6:00 PM and reaches San Francisco at 6:45.

The next schedule update from Blue & Gold is planned for May 3, 2009.
