Description: The 2nd St. Stairs climb the too-steep-for-cars uphill (northern) end of 2nd St. and allow walkers to reach North St. and from there walk up the hill to other streets and staircases, most notably Cable Roadway. They reach North St. just half a block uphill from the top of the North St. Stairway.

There are houses on either side of the double-stairway, with densely planted foliage in between the two stairways.
