Pelican Inn Hotel Muir Beach
Fast Forward SummaryTM: Located northwest of Sausalito in the village of Muir Beach, the Pelican Inn is literally the only hotel in this tiny town. Visitors from England have commented that the building feels very much like an old English Inn, down to the sizes of the rooms and the height of the ceilings. Muir Beach gets its mail from Sausalito and has no post office of its own (Sausalito and Muir Beach share the 94965 zip code, the criterion for inclusion in our site).
It’s about a 9 mile (15 km) drive on narrow roads over the mountain ridge that guards Muir Woods to get to the Pelican Inn from Sausalito, and it will take you about 30 minutes to make the trip in light traffic.
The hotel also has a Pelican Inn Restaurant that serves both guests and diners who come just for the meals.
