Shoreline Park
Shoreline Park is a hidden gem on Sausalito’s northern waterfront, and part of one of the most popular dog-walking routes in Sausalito. It borders the northern tip of Marinship Park along the shore of San Francisco Bay.
Located just north of the Bay Model, Shoreline Park is actually not a City-maintained facility, but is maintained by local landowners as part of the building approvals for the office buildings in the area.
Although it’s not large, Shoreline Park has a lovely path that borders a couple of marsh areas sandwiched between pleasure boat marinas and the Army Corps of Engineers pier, where they collect and then remove floating debris from the Bay and waterways that threatens boat safety.
There is ample parking in the adjacent lot — just avoid the spots labeled “Reserved” and those closest to the Harbor (which are reserved for the marina and are clearly marked with signs) and you’ll be OK.
Note: On the Google map satellite photo below Shoreline Park is the triangle-shaped lawn at the edge of the Bay with the marsh curving above it, and if you press the MAP and then the “-” buttons on the Google Map you can pull back the camera to see how to get there.
