Muir Woods Hours
Muir Woods National Monument is open every day of the year from 8:00 AM to sunset, including all national, state and local holidays. The Muir Woods hours for closing vary with the seasons, following this pattern:

| Late January – Mid-March | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM |
| Mid-March – Mid- September | 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM |
| Mid-September – Mid-October | 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM |
| Mid-October – Early November | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM |

The Visitor Center will close 30 minutes prior to the closure of the park, and the Muir Woods Trading Company Cafe will close 60 minutes prior to Muir Woods hours for closing the overall park. The Gift Shop remains open a little longer to allow guests to buy their final items.
