The Inn Above Tide
If you want the view out your hotel window to look like a picture postcard, this is your best bet in Sausalito… and maybe in the entire Bay Area. And we’re happy to say that the service at Inn Above Tide matches the view. Right on the water next to the Sausalito ferry pier, the Inn Above Tide was converted from a high-end apartment complex and has 29 rooms and suites. Every one of them faces San Francisco Bay. Most offer a deck with teak furniture and a fabulous view, as well as fireplaces. This is a 100% non-smoking hotel. No on-site restaurant, but great places are nearby, and the hotel arranges in-room dining from a variety of restaurants.

Kayakers row by below, both ferry services‘ boats come and go on their way to San Francisco, and pelicans and herons can be seen nearby. Great views of Angel Island, Alcatraz and Tiburon as well as San Francisco and the Bay.
The hotel is located right in the middle of downtown Sausalito, directly on the water adjacent to the ferry pier. This puts you within walking distance of most Sausalito attractions listed on this site.
