This small, casual restaurant in northern Sausalito has a devoted following and draws a regular stream of visitors from around the Bay. Cuisine is a unique fusion of Indian, Mexican, American, Pakistani and pure imagination.
Part of the charm here is what we call “the spontaneous menu.” There is nothing reasonable you can request that they won’t try to prepare for you. No dairy in your dish? No problem. Gluten free recipe variation? Of course! Mild spices or extra red hot? No problem. Vegetarian or vegan version of a meat dish on the menu? Happy to do it!
You can describe your favorite meal of all time in any cuisine and then ask the kitchen to surprise you with something Avatar’s-style you’re likely to love. I’ll stop there — you get the idea that this is a unique, very personal experience that has produced all these individual dining fans.
Insiders Tip: Going off the menu and asking for unique flavor combinations adds to the cost of each dish, and the bill can add up without guests realizing it if everyone gets creative.
