Angel Island Cafe
Angel Island Cafe (which is adjacent to the Angel Island Cantina bar area, and both are operated by the same park concessionaire that offers the ferry service to Tiburon. They offer a mix of warm entrees and sandwiches, as well as water, drinks and snacks like cookies and chips. We’ve enjoyed the food we’ve eaten here, although portions can run small. You can also buy beer and wine.
.
The Angel Island Cantina next door has its own Mexican street food themed menu, and also serves beer and wine.
There are tables outside the cafe and in the bar area where you can eat on site, or (if your menu choice is readily portable) take it to go and set off on your hike. If you eat there they’ll take your order at the counter, give you a number sign for the table — which will blow over several times in the wind while you wait since this is Angel Island — and then bring the food to your table.
.
Insiders Tip: The tables here fill up quickly right after a ferry arrives, and there can be long lines of people waiting for food. The least crowded time is right before a ferry departs, since outbound passengers are waiting in line.
Note: The address on the Google map below inaccurately lists Main St. in Tiburon (where the ferry pier is located) but the map itself shows the correct location at Ayala Cove, within Angel Island State Park.
