Join the Sausalito Community Boating Center (SCBC) for this year’s Herring Celebration and Fundraiser. Tickets are only $40 and include a film screening, live music by The Fishwives, a brief presentation about the SCBC, and a lunch plate of delicious herring from one of our local restaurants.
First, the Emmy award-winning film, Sonic Sea, is a shocking and powerful documentary about the destructive effects of oceanic noise pollution and what can be done to protect the helpless creatures that roam the deep. You have two screening time choices: Ticket A (morning) – 11:00 AM screening/10:30 AM doors open, or; Ticket B (afternoon) – 2:30 PM screening/1:00 PM doors open.
Then, your scrumptious herring lunch plate at 1:00 PM, either before or after the film (depending upon which ticket option you purchase), will be skillfully prepared by one of these fine establishments: Fish, Osteria Divino, Chef DR Davey Jones, Angelino, and/or Joinery. Additionally, beer from Fort Point Brew Co., and a selection of wines, will be available for $5.
Lastly, docent-guided tours of the fascinating Tall Ship Matthew Turner will be available, as well as, an educational whale exhibit from NOAA/Greater Farallones NMS. Note: All money raised from the Herring Celebration will help fund renovating the SCBC site at Cass Gidley Marina.
