The No Name Bar (The Bar with No Name)

Just two blocks from the Ferry, the No Name Bar has been a Sausalito institution for decades, hosting both the notables and the incorrigibles who’ve passed through town. The place has a tradition of welcoming strangers and featuring high quality jazz, blues and rock. A few of the famous names who’ve inhabited the bar stools here are Richard Brautigan, Lenny Bruce, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Allen Ginsberg, Sterling Hayden, Jack Kerouac, Charles Mingus and Jonathan Winters.
